A former informant, Alexander Smirnov, got himself into hot water last week when he was busted for allegedly lying to the FBI. But just when it seemed like things couldn’t get any worse for him, he got slapped with the same charges again! Talk about doubling down on trouble.
According to a court filing, Smirnov was supposedly meeting with his fancy lawyers in Las Vegas when he got the news of his second arrest. What a plot twist! The arrest warrant listed the exact same charges he was already in trouble for, making this déjà vu moment a real head-scratcher.
