During an interview with ABC News' Robin Roberts, Michelle Obama stated that she is not ready to endorse Joe Biden for president in 2024. When pressed to see if she would support Biden she declined to answer.
When asked by @RobinRoberts if President Biden should run in the 2024 election, former first lady Michelle Obama said she doesn’t “speak on that” because she knows “what it feels like to be on the other side of it.” #MichelleObama https://t.co/BKf9XdBBUv pic.twitter.com/O1ELPW4LTw

Mrs. Obama stated that she would have to see Biden run again. She said that she would not be one of the millions of people who would weigh in on the decision, and she noted that it was a personal matter for Biden and his family.
Although she declined to endorse a potential Biden run for re-election, Mrs. Obama praised the job that the current president is doing. She noted that he is doing a great job and that he is handling difficult circumstances well.
When Biden entered the race for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, he did not receive the backing of the former first lady or President Obama until after Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders dropped out.
