Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker has finally come to his senses and called out the Biden administration for the disastrous migrant crisis. In a strongly worded letter, Pritzker demanded that the current system be overhauled because, let’s face it, the situation is becoming a total nightmare.

Pritzker couldn’t hold his frustration back any longer as he complained about how Texas officials have been shipping an astonishing 15,000 migrants to his state over the past year. Can you imagine? That’s like dropping an entire sports stadium full of people on Illinois’ doorstep. No wonder their resources are strained!
But it doesn’t end there. Pritzker rightfully warned that things could get even worse, with busloads of up to 1,250 migrants per day heading their way. It’s like a never-ending parade of chaos and burden being dumped on Illinois. And who’s to blame? The federal government, of course!
Pritzker pointed out the complete lack of support from the feds, saying that Illinois has been left high and dry in dealing with this massive strain on their state resources. It’s about time someone spoke up and demanded that President Biden and his team take swift action to fix this mess.
Now, I gotta hand it to Pritzker for his persistence. He’s been making phone calls and having “productive” conversations with the White House, demanding intervention and coordination. But talk is cheap, my friends. It’s time for action!
In response to Pritzker’s complaints, the White House decided to pat themselves on the back and brag about giving Illinois over $46 million in grants. But let’s do the math here. That’s only about $3,000 per migrant that has already come to the state. With the number of migrants increasing daily, those resources are gonna disappear faster than a politician’s promises during campaign season.
What really gets under Pritzker’s skin is the unfairness of it all. He’s absolutely right. It’s not right that Texas can just send their problems to “a few certain states run by Democrats.” But let’s be real, this problem is largely caused by the Democrats’ own policies. Biden has created a system where migrants know they can waltz right into the country, get a free phone, and schedule a court date in the distant future. It’s a free-for-all!
Pritzker isn’t the only one throwing shade at the administration. New York City Mayor Eric Adams has also voiced his criticism. It seems like these sanctuary city and state leaders are all talk and no action. They love the idea of sanctuary policies until the practical realities hit them like a ton of bricks.
The bottom line is this: the Biden administration needs to wake up and take responsibility for the chaos they’ve caused at our southern border. It’s time to secure the border, enforce common-sense immigration policies, and stop burdening states like Illinois with the consequences of their own failed decisions.
