Well, well, well, it looks like Rep. George Santos (R-NY) has finally been shown the door. That’s right, folks, Santos is no longer a member of Congress. He has officially become the sixth member to be expelled after being engulfed in a whirlwind of ethical and legal scandals. And let me tell you, this was a long time coming.
Kathy Hochul Is Getting Wrecked For Her George Santos Expulsion Tweet

In a landslide vote of 311-114, the House of Representatives made the right decision and said, “Enough is enough, Santos!” It’s about time they took action. And get this, folks—over 300 members of the House voted to kick him out. That’s more than the two-thirds required. You love to see it.
But hold onto your hats, folks, because the drama doesn’t stop there. Democratic New Yorker Kathy Hochul is now trying to claim that she has the power to appoint Santos’ replacement. Can you believe it? Talk about a power grab! Sorry, Kathy, but you don’t have that kind of authority. Nice try, though.
It’s clear that there needs to be a special election to fill Santos’ seat. That’s just how it works, folks. The people of New York’s 3rd District deserve to have their voices heard through a fair and democratic process. It’s as simple as that. But it seems like Kathy Hochul missed the memo on that one.
Now, why is this all important, you may ask? Well, let me break it down for you. Democrats are itching to reclaim a district that President Biden carried in 2020. They want to flip it back to being blue, but Republicans are not going down without a fight. They’re determined to keep that seat and continue their winning streak.
And let’s not forget the bigger picture here. New York House seats have become a battleground, even in a supposedly “favorably blue” state. Thanks to redistricting and some midterm losses for the Democrats, Republicans narrowly gained the House majority. So every seat counts, folks.
The cherry on top of this whole messy ordeal is the Ethics Committee’s report. They found that Santos “blatantly stole” from his own campaign. Can you imagine that? A member of Congress, sworn to serve the people, blatantly lining his own pockets. It’s absolutely disgraceful.
In the end, justice was served, and Rep. George Santos got what he deserved. The House made the right call in expelling him, and now it’s time for the people of New York’s 3rd District to have their say in a special election. Let’s hope they choose someone who will actually put their constituents first and not their own self-interests.
