In a bold prediction, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin declared that Michelle Obama will be the Democratic Party’s nominee for the 2024 presidential election, effectively ending Joe Biden’s chances. Palin made this claim on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, in response to a viral post by political author Greg Rubini. Rubini theorized that California Governor Gavin Newsom would be the Democrat candidate, suggesting that Kamala Harris would step down as Vice President and be replaced by Newsom, who would then go on to challenge Trump. However, Palin seems to have a different idea in mind.
Although Michelle Obama has previously denied any interest in politics, signs are pointing towards a potential presidential run. In an interview with Oprah, Obama stated that she has never expressed a desire to run for office and believes that service and helping people are more important to her. However, Republican Senator Ted Cruz and Obama insider Joel Gilbert both believe that she may be preparing to make a bid for the presidency. Cruz, on his podcast “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” speculated that Democrats might replace Biden with Michelle Obama due to concerns about his age and the mounting evidence of corruption within the Biden family. Gilbert, the author of “Michelle Obama 2024: Her Real Life Story and Plan for Power,” paralleled Obama’s path to the White House with her husband Barack’s, suggesting that there may be something brewing in “Obama world.”
Other conservatives, including Roger Stone and Newt Gingrich, have also predicted that Michelle Obama could become the Democratic Party’s nominee. Stone, in a tweet, confidently declared that Obama would be the nominee in 2024, while Gingrich warned Republicans to pay attention to her potential candidacy. With speculation growing and influential voices on the right endorsing the idea, it’s clear that Michelle Obama’s political future is generating significant interest.
