Former President Donald Trump recently threw down the gauntlet, confidently asserting that Vice President Kamala Harris would be an easier candidate to take down in November than her boss, President Joe Biden, who just announced he won’t be seeking re-election. After Biden made his grand exit, he was quick to endorse Harris as his replacement, which took about as long as it takes to microwave popcorn. Talk about a hasty decision.
While Harris is now the presumptive nominee, things aren’t looking good for her. With a dismal 36 percent approval rating, according to FiveThirtyEight, her chances of galvanizing support resemble that of a flat tire on a road trip. Trump has wasted no time in capitalizing on this opportunity, expressing that he believes Harris could be a walk in the park compared to facing Biden. Given that Biden consistently polls as one of the worst presidents in history, that’s really saying something about Harris’ likeliness to not just stumble but trip and fall through the 2024 race.

Amid Trump’s musings, his son, Donald Trump Jr., also got in on the action, labeling Harris as “even more liberal and less competent than Joe.” This is a monumental feat, considering Biden’s track record of blunders. Harris has inherited a realm of leftist policies that have led to nothing short of a disaster, particularly at the border. Under her watch, the U.S. has seen an influx of illegal immigration like never before, making a trip to the grocery store feel like a walk in an overstuffed county fair.
Speculation is swirling about who could fill the coveted Democratic nominee position if the party looks to ditch Harris. The usual suspects are in the mix: two-time loser Hillary Clinton, California Governor Gavin Newsom, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, and Michigan’s very own Gretchen Whitmer. Each of these candidates brings their own set of wild ideas and liberal agendas—all while maintaining a firm grip on their failure to successfully lead their states.
A recent internal survey led by a former Obama pollster had the audacity to claim that both Harris and Clinton could potentially outperform Biden against Trump. One poll indicated that Harris narrowly led Trump by a single point; another claimed Clinton had a two-point lead. Meanwhile, Newsom and Whitmer lagged behind by even more robust margins. It’s almost comical to think that these candidates pulling slightly ahead proves anything more than just wishful thinking from the left in a time of desperation.
As the 2024 race heats up, it’s clear the Democratic Party is scrambling. They’re left with a decision that looks worse than choosing between soggy cereal and last week’s leftovers for breakfast. With Harris holding onto the reins, it could be a wild ride for the left. In the end, no one truly knows what will happen next, but whatever it is, it’s bound to give conservative Americans a good laugh while they sit back and watch the implosion unfold.
