In a recent appearance on “The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show,” former President Donald Trump not only confirmed his inevitable win of the GOP nomination but also set off a frenzy of excitement over his potential running mate. With a commanding lead of over 44 points against his closest rival, it’s pretty clear that Trump has the nomination in the bag. Now, all eyes are on the question of who will share the ticket with him, and some intriguing names have been thrown into the mix.

Republican heavyweights like South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, Kari Lake, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley have all been vying for the coveted spot as Trump’s running mate. But the real shocker came when Trump was asked about the possibility of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson joining the ticket.
In a characteristic fashion, Trump didn’t miss a beat before expressing his appreciation for Tucker, saying, “I like Tucker a lot.” He further praised Tucker’s “great common sense” and indicated that he would indeed consider him for the role, sending shockwaves through the left.
While some conservative commentators hailed the idea of a Trump/Carlson ticket as a stroke of genius, the left reacted in predictable fashion. The Huffington Post lamented Trump’s flirtation with Tucker as his potential running mate, The New Republic warned of the dire consequences, and The Daily Beast painted a bleak picture of a second Trump term. They just can’t handle the brilliant strategizing of the conservative side!
Adding fuel to the speculation fire, Trump and Tucker were spotted at UFC 295 in New York, alongside Kid Rock and UFC President Dana White. Coincidence? The left probably thinks so, but we know better! Whether this is a trial balloon or a genuine possibility, the conservative crowd is buzzing with excitement over the prospect of a Trump/Carlson duo leading the charge. Stay tuned, folks!
