Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s dreams of running for president are crumbling before his eyes, as he continues to slip in the polls. Another Republican contender, Vivek Ramaswamy, has tied with DeSantis in New Hampshire, which is a crucial state for early primary voting. This marks a major blow to DeSantis’s campaign, especially after he had to fire his campaign manager and lay off numerous staff members. But the bad news doesn’t end there for DeSantis – former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley has also tied with him in the latest poll. Both Haley and Ramaswamy are now neck and neck with DeSantis, while former President Donald Trump maintains a huge lead in the race.

It’s clear that DeSantis’s once strong campaign is now in shambles. This latest poll, while it may be an outlier, shows that Haley has made significant gains since previous polls. This will undoubtedly give her a boost among voters who may not have considered her as a top contender before. And let’s not forget about Ramaswamy and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who are both sitting comfortably at 8 percent in the polls. Ramaswamy’s rise to the number two spot in some national polls is certainly surprising, and his unconventional campaign tactics, such as taking on protestors and releasing his own set of “10 Commandments,” seem to be gaining traction.
Meanwhile, Christie is facing criticism from conservative circles for his attacks on Trump. It’s clear that the Republican party is still firmly behind Trump, with numerous polls showing him leading the pack not only among general election voters, but also within his own party. Republican voters believe that the criminal indictments against Trump are just politically-motivated witch hunts by the Democrats and the Biden Justice Department. This unwavering support for Trump is giving him a significant advantage in both polling and fundraising.
DeSantis may have had high hopes for his presidential campaign, but it seems that his chances are slipping away. The question now is whether he can regain the momentum and make a comeback, or if he will continue on this downward trajectory. Only time will tell.
