President Joe Biden was at it again, delivering another round of remarks to a captive audience. On the evening of September 21, at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute 46th Annual Gala, Biden took the stage at 8:25 p.m. ET. Now, we all know Biden loves to talk, but this time he had a specific target in his sights – the Hispanic community.
With the charm and charisma of a seasoned politician, Biden wasted no time in trying to win over his Hispanic audience. He spoke passionately about his commitment to comprehensive immigration reform, promising to provide a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants. Of course, he conveniently left out the fact that his own party has been unable to pass any meaningful immigration legislation in the past.
But that’s not all. Biden also took the opportunity to tout his administration’s accomplishments in providing COVID-19 relief to minority communities. He bragged about the billions of taxpayer dollars that have been poured into various programs and initiatives, claiming that his administration is the savior of the Hispanic community. It’s convenient how Biden conveniently forgets that it was the previous administration that laid the groundwork for the rapid development of the COVID-19 vaccines.
At the end of the day, Biden’s speech at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute 46th Annual Gala was just another opportunity for him to pat himself on the back and make promises he can’t keep. While he may have been met with applause and cheers from his adoring supporters, the reality is that Biden’s words often do not match his actions. It’s just another day in the political theater of Joe Biden.
