President Biden Does It Again: More Wasteful Spending and Missed Opportunities
In a move that surprises absolutely no one, President Joe Biden has once again proven that he’s a master at signing away your hard-earned tax dollars. Late Thursday night, while most hardworking Americans were fast asleep, Biden put his signature on a funding package, ensuring that the government will stay open through the new year. But at what cost?

The laddered continuing resolution, which is just a fancy way of saying “kicking the can down the road,” will fund a laundry list of government agencies, from military construction to transportation, all the way through Jan. 19. And if that’s not enough to make your head spin, the rest of the agencies will have their funding run out two weeks after that. This is like giving your kid an allowance and saying, “I’ll give you more later, maybe.”
But here’s the kicker: the bill doesn’t even meet Biden’s own funding requests for Ukraine and Israel aid, not to mention additional funding for the southern border and security assistance for Taiwan. So what exactly is he funding with all this taxpayer money? It seems like throwing darts at a board and hoping something sticks.
The House approved the measure with near-unanimous support from Democrats and about half of Republicans. It’s like they’re all playing a game of “How fast can we spend other people’s money?” And the Senate voted 87 to 11 in favor of this spending spree. It’s almost like they’re in a competition to see who can waste the most money in the shortest amount of time.
And to top it all off, President Biden, who was busy hobnobbing in San Francisco, had the bill hand-delivered to him so he could sign it just before midnight. It’s like he was trying to avoid the public eye while he rubber-stamped this fiscal disaster. And of course, he couldn’t resist using his statement to take a jab at House Republicans, telling them to “stop wasting time on extreme bills and honor our bipartisan budget agreement.”
So there you have it, folks. Another day, another spending spree in Washington. It’s like a never-ending game of “Who can waste the most money?” And spoiler alert: President Biden is leading the pack.
