The Democrats just can’t help themselves. During a hearing regarding Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the FBI’s conduct during the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, they missed the mark completely. Instead of trying to understand the FBI’s actions and help develop remedies for their missteps, the Democrats embarrassingly attacked Durham and his conclusions. In such a critical moment, these antics proved to be nothing more than a partisan stunt meant to protect the politicized FBI bureaucracy.

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) let loose on Durham for investigating the FBI’s failure to follow laws and standards as it pursued false claims regarding President Trump’s 2016 campaign. Cohen’s attacks on Durham were pointed and much ado about nothing, revealing what seems to be a severe case of “Trump Derangement Syndrome” among the House Democrats. His rant confirmed that every person associated with the former president is doomed to be a Trump henchman forever. Cohen should be ashamed of himself.
COHEN: "Your reputation will be damaged!"
DURHAM: "My concern about my reputation is with the people who I respect, and my family, and my Lord, and I'm perfectly comfortable with my reputation with them, sir!" pic.twitter.com/zughWAoN2l

Durham handled the stress and pressure of Cohen’s outburst with calm and humor, despite the obvious malice in Cohen’s attack. It takes a lot of courage to weather an unwarranted and vicious attack, but Durham maintained his composure. Even Rep. Darrell Issa had to joke about Cohen’s rant, sarcastically asking if Cohen was unsure about his feelings regarding the former president.
At the end of the day, Durham is motivated by his reputation with those important to him, such as his family and “lord.” His integrity and reputation have not been compromised by these political games, and he remains steadfast in his mission to get to the truth. Meanwhile, the Democrats should probably focus on getting results instead of attacking the messenger.
