US Shoots Down Mystery Object Near Alaska On Biden’s Orders

On Friday, President Joe Biden issued a directive for the U.S. military to remove an object that was seen in Alaska’s airspace. John Kirby, a representative from the National Security Council, verified the occurrence during a press conference and added additional information regarding the enigmatic object.

Kirby revealed that the object was significantly smaller compared to a Chinese spy balloon that had previously been sighted in the region, and was approximately the size of a small automobile. He further explained that the object was taken down as a precautionary measure and had come down near the coast of Alaska.

The New York Times reported that an official had stated that the object had been travelling in airspace with commercial air traffic and that another official had described it as “fast-moving”. It was not clear who owned the object, or what its purpose was.

Kirby could not confirm whether the object was deployed by an adversary, or if it had any military, research, or commercial use. He also could not confirm whether the object was a balloon or not.

The U.S. military is continuing to investigate the mysterious object, and more information is expected to be released soon. The event has sent shockwaves through the nation, as many are left wondering what the object was and who it belonged to.
