Virginia Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin is making moves to secure his political future by launching an early-voting bus tour ahead of the key Virginia elections. Youngkin has been urging Republicans to embrace early voting and “beat the Democrats at their own game.” And let’s be honest, the Democrats have been running circles around the Republicans when it comes to their election strategy.

Youngkin knows that the Democrats have been successful in the past by getting their voters to the polls early, so he’s doubling down on this tactic. He wants Republicans to join the permanent absentee list and make a plan to vote early – whether it’s by mail or in person. The goal is to not go into the elections down thousands of votes, but rather to secure every vote possible before Election Day. Youngkin points to his own 2021 gubernatorial win as proof that early voting works for Republicans.
But it doesn’t stop there. Youngkin’s Spirit of Virginia PAC is launching a bus tour across the state to further push the message of early voting. The objective is not only to get voters to choose Republican candidates, but also to get them to vote early or via absentee ballot. It’s a strategic move to make sure that every voice is heard in this critical election.
Now, I know there are some skeptics out there who argue that Democrat election fraud will always prevail. But what kind of defeatist attitude is that? We can’t just give up and blame fraud every time we lose. We need to adapt and find new ways to win. And that’s exactly what Youngkin is doing. He’s showing leadership and innovation in his approach to elections, and that’s something the Republican Party desperately needs.
If the GOP wants to win in battleground states, it needs to embrace an election-season strategy over a traditional election-day strategy. It’s time to step up our game and show the Democrats that we can play by their rules, and beat them at it. Otherwise, we’ll just keep singing the same old song of defeat. And that’s not what we want for our great nation. Let’s support Youngkin’s early-voting bus tour and make sure our voices are heard loud and clear in this critical election.
