During Tuesday’s Medal of Honor ceremony, President Joe Biden made quite the stir with his sudden exit. Now, normally a Medal of Honor ceremony is a solemn and reverent occasion, honoring the brave men and women who have risked their lives for our great nation. But leave it to President Biden to make it all about himself.

You see, as Army Captain Larry Taylor was being honored, Biden decided to remove his mask to deliver his remarks. Now, this may seem like a small and insignificant detail, but let me tell you, it speaks volumes about his priorities. While our brave soldiers are being recognized for their incredible acts of valor, Biden couldn’t resist the temptation to make it a political spectacle.
These press conferences are now just telling us for sure what the answers to the questions aren’t.

But the real kicker comes when Biden abruptly leaves the event before it even concludes. He missed a concluding prayer, for goodness sake! Now, I don’t know about you, but if I were attending a Medal of Honor ceremony, I would have the decency to stay until the very end, out of respect for those being honored. But not President Biden, apparently.
Now, let’s talk about the feeble excuse given by White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre. She claims that Biden left during a pause in the program to minimize his close contact with attendees. Really? If he was so concerned about COVID-19 exposure, why did he take off his mask to deliver his speech in the first place? And why didn’t he bother to put it back on when he abruptly left? It seems like a blatant disregard for safety measures and a blatant disregard for the American people.
This whole situation just goes to show the lack of leadership and common decency we have in the White House. Instead of using the Medal of Honor ceremony as an opportunity to honor our heroes, Biden turned it into a self-serving photo op and then disrespectfully left before it was even over. It’s a sad state of affairs, my friends, and we deserve better.
