When it comes to fighting the liberal legal buzzsaw aimed straight at Donald Trump, it’s about time a Republican senator spoke some sense about presidential immunity. Enter Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), a voice of reason in a storm of leftist hysteria, advocating for something most folks with a functioning brain cell could figure out: a president needs immunity to do his job without the constant threat of politically motivated prosecutions.
There’s a big decision coming up from the Supreme Court that could change the game for Trump, who is being sued more times than a bad contractor. Vance, in his no-nonsense manner, made a compelling case that presidents, like other officials—cops, judges, prosecutors—enjoy some level of immunity. He pointed out the hypocrisy of potentially prosecuting Trump while turning a blind eye to Obama’s drone strikes or other past presidential actions. Common sense, folks, just common sense.

Going further, Vance highlighted the chaos that would ensue if every new president decides to jail their predecessor. That’s a one-way ticket to Constitutional Armageddon. Anyone with half a pulse can see that weaponizing the justice system for political gain is a bad move, no matter which side of the aisle you’re on.
The senator also took a swipe at the current administration, reminding us all of Biden’s ongoing witch hunt against Trump. When asked if a hypothetical Trump-Vance administration would go after Biden, Vance smartly said that it would be up to the attorney general. Can we get a standing ovation for that dodge? Clearly, Vance knows how to play the game.
Let’s not forget Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) warning that Biden should start praying if the Supreme Court doesn’t back presidential immunity. According to Graham and even Eric Trump, the floodgates could open wide for investigations into Obama and Bush. You can bet your bottom dollar that the leftists are sweating bullets over that prospect.
Finally, Vance’s stance on presidential immunity has fueled rumors of him being on Trump’s shortlist for a VP pick. The senator says he’d be disappointed if he’s not chosen. Other names thrown into the mix include Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), but let’s be real—Vance has the fire, and that’s what Trump needs in his corner to torch this liberal madness once and for all.
